To access your Booking Engine's totals settings go to Sales > Booking Engine > Totals.

The totals setting allows you to decide how the accommodation price is considered in the summary box during the booking.

Below we will see how the booking engine will behave depending if the certain setting is enabled or disabled.

1. Hide totals until all guests are assigned to accommodation

  • Disabled

The base price (sum of all base package items) will be displayed before guests select their accommodation.

  • Enabled

The base price will only be displayed when all guests are assigned to accommodation.

2. Include Single Room Supplement in accommodation totals

  • Disabled

The Single Room Supplement will be displayed as an upgrade in a different line.

  • Enabled

The single room supplement will be added to the accommodation price line.

3. Accommodation price in totals

  • Include in base price

The accommodation price will be added to the base price. The base price will increase accordingly as you assign guests to the accommodation options.

  • Show separately

The price of the accommodation will be visible in a different row below the base price.

  • Split between base and upgrades (for accommodation marked as upgrade)

With this setting enabled, your default room will dictate how the room price is presented in the summary box.

E.g 1: Let's take a look at a case in which your default room is the cheapest room in your package. The price of the room is 50€ per person.

First, let's take a look at what happens when the default room is selected.

The price for the room is shown in a row below the base price as an upgrade.

Now, let's take a look at what happens when any other room is selected.

The price of the default room (100€) is added to the base price while the price difference between your default room and a selected room (140€) is shown in a separate row as an upgrade of 40€.

E.g 2: Let's take a look at a case in which your default room is included in a package price at no charge. In the following example, there is a base price of 200€ set on a package level.

First, let's take a look at what happens when the default room, included at no charge, is selected.

If the default room is selected, the base price (the package price) remains the same.

Now, let's take a look at what happens if any other room is selected.

The price difference between the default room (100€) and the selected room (140€) is shown in a separate row below the base price as an upgrade, however, the base price of the package which was before 200€ now increases to 300€. That's because the default room is included at no charge, while for all the other accommodation options the system fetches the full price.

4. Show totals as subtotal and discount only

Everything the guest chooses during the booking process will be added to a row with a subtotal and total amount. Throughout the whole booking process, the amount increases in line with selected items.
