To access your Booking Engine's accommodation settings go to Sales > Booking Engine > Accommodation.

Filtering

Filtering allows you to determine the number of accommodation options from the same room type the Booking Engine will display.

E.g: Let's take a case in which you have 5 accommodations of the same room type and each of them has a capacity of 2 guests. We will see how the booking engine will behave depending on the setting enabled considering a booking for 3 guests.

  • Pax capacity relation

The booking engine will display the minimum number of rooms options to accommodate the number of guests

E.g: When a booking is made for 3 guests, they will see 2 rooms of the same room type since 2 rooms are enough to accommodate 3 persons.

  • Pax relation

The booking engine will display the same number of accommodation options of the same room type as guests in the booking.

E.g: When booking for 3 guests, the booking engine will display 3 rooms of the same room type. This option is appropriate if you would like each guest to book a room just for themselves.

  • Pax min/max relation

The booking engine will only display accommodation options that can accommodate the total number of guests in just one accommodation option.

E.g: When booking for 3 guests, the booking engine will not display any rooms since no room, in this case, has the capacity to accommodate 3 guests.

Price

The Price setting allows you to decide if the accommodation price next to accommodation is visible or not.

  • Show min price enabled

When the setting is enabled, the minimum price of the room is visible next to the room type.

  • Show min price disabled

When the setting is disabled the price of the room is not visible next to the room type. The price in the summary box will increase accordingly as you assign guests to the accommodation options.

Presentation

Decide how the accommodation options are presented at the accommodation selection stage of an online booking.

The order on list settings will allow you to decide the order in which your accommodation options are displayed while booking.

  • As ordered in the Backoffice

This setting reflects the order you set in your package builder.

  • Empty first

The rooms which are empty or have the least number of guests (in case of shared accommodation) will be displayed on top.

Tip: if you set Single Room Supplement (SRS) on your shared accommodation, we advise you use this setting as the SRS option is available only when the room is completely empty.

  • Partially booked first

Shared rooms that are partially booked will be displayed on top.
